Veterans

Prior service veterans of any service branch are eligible for Basic Course credit.   Interested veterans must meet eligibility requirements to enroll in the Advanced Course.  Contact the recruiting office for more details.


Guard and Reserve Soldiers

Army National Guard or Army Reserve Soldiers may serve as a cadet in the Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP) at the grade of E-5 (or current grade, if higher).  Chain of Command approval is required.  After contracting you can earn a $420 monthly stipend from ROTC, a $350 ROTC kicker (if applicable per your enlistment contract),up to $4,000 per year Tuition Assistance (Reserve) or 100% public in-state tuition (Guard), and may apply for a Dedicated or Guaranteed Reserve Forces Duty scholarship.  Reserve and Guard Soldiers who have completed AIT may be additionally eligible for Chapter 1606 or 1607 GI bill (click here to determine the amount paid) or Student Loan Repayment (prior to contracting). Active Duty Soldiers

Green to Gold is a program open to all Active Duty enlisted Soldiers who want to become Army Officers.  To apply, register at http://www.goarmy.com/rotc and then log into the Green to Gold Access Portal (https://www.goarmy.com/careers-and-jobs/find-your-path/army-officers/green-to-gold) with your email and password. 

There are 3 separate Green to Gold options you can apply for, depending on your specific circumstances.  All options require U.S. Citizenship, and a GT score of 110. You must have the ability to obtain a secret clearance prior to commissioning, pass an ACFT with no alternate events, meet HT/WT requirements, obtain a favorable recommendation from your chain of command, and be eligible for reenlistment.  You must have no more than 3 dependents including spouse (waiverable), no dual military (waiverable), and no single parents. Soldiers must complete DoDMERB physical to apply and be medically qualified no later than July 15 (instructions are on the Green to Gold Access Portal). 

This program is NOT available to Active National Guard or Reservists (AGR).  Applicants who meet requirements for both may apply for the Active Duty Option or Scholarship Option but not both.  Applicants working towards their Master's degree must complete it within 2 years (statutory requirement).  For all applicants, 75% of your classes must be taken in a traditional classroom setting (waiverable to 50% on a case by case basis).  All Green to Gold winners will start in the fall semester.  There are no longer spring start dates.
